Hotel Palazzo SternOne of our favorite hotels. The Palazzo Stern Hotel is approximately 1,4 kilometer from the Palazzo Ca' Zen ai Frari: a 20 minutes walk or 8 minutes + 12 minutes by boat.
It is housed in a traditional Venetian building and has a breakfast terrace looking over the Grand Canal and a rooftop hot tub. Many original frescoes and mosaics can be admired in the building. The junior suites have a view over the Grand Canal. The rooms are in traditional, elegant style. Next to the hotel you will find the Ca 'Rezzonico stop for the vaporetto (water bus). In 10 minutes you walk via the Ponte dell'Accademia to St Mark's Square. The rating of this hotel on booking.com is 9.7! “Location was superb, on the Grand Canal, next to a waterbus stop. Palazzo VenezianoWhy not indulge yourself with a stay in one of the suites of the Palazzo Veneziano? These magnificent, modern rooms have parquet floors, marble bathrooms, often a view on the canal and sometimes even a balcony with jacuzzi! The four star hotel is new, very elegant and serves a great breakfast. Palazzo Veneziano enjoys a strategic position in the heart of Venice, facing out over the Lagoon.
This magical hotel with it's nice bar and beautiful rooms is located in Dorsoduro, near the S. Basilio ferry stop. It is a 15 minutes walk to the venue of the Carnival balls, passing the silent canals of Dorsoduro. Or treat yourself to a romantic gondola.... This beautiful property offers very good value. We loved everything about this magical hotel. We appreciated the tasteful marriage of of modern amenities while honouring the authentic Venetian touches. |
Ca' Granda Venice AptsAt the most romantic location possible, on the,Grand Canal, you will find these magnificent apartments: a perfect, very spacious and stylish place to stay. The rooms offer fabulous views on the Grand Canal or the garden. They are tastefully decorated: you feel you live in an old Venetian palace. The facilities of Ca' Granda Apartments are impeccable, and the hosts are extremely nice and friendly.
The apartments are very centrally located: it is less than 10 minutes walk to the famous opera theatre Fenice, 15 minutes to San Marco square and less than 10 minutes walk + boat to the Carnival balls. But when you are living in a palace on the Grand Canal, why not take a gondola? The rating of these apartments on booking.com is 9.7! If you prefer to stay in apartment, this is the place to be. You have to search for and book at least 2 nights! It is an exceptional property decorated beautifully, spacious and light filled. We will always remember this magical experience. |
Ai Cavalieri di VeneziaAt 1,5 km. or 20 minutes walk of the Palazzo Ca'Zen ai Frari, you will find this lovely 4 star hotel. The hotel is centrally located between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square, away from the hustle and bustle on a side canal. The district, Castello, is known for it's relaxed atmosphere.
The beautiful rooms of Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia are large, with a luxurious modern marble bathroom. Even the standard rooms are very tastefully decorated. The main hall and hallways are impressing with their exquisite ceilings and chandeliers. Don't forget to treat yourself to a Bellini from bartender Claudio in the cocktail bar. Ruzzini Palace HotelThe Ruzzini Palace Hotel is located on Campo Santa Maria Formosa, a lively old square at 20 minutes walk from the Carnival balls. It is conveniently close to Sogno Veneziano Atelier, where you will fit your costumes. The center is very close, the vaporetto at 500 meter and the water taxi stop is right by.
The Ruzzini is a renovated palace with spacious, nicely decorated rooms with all amenities. The rooms are classically decorated, some with a little twist. The royal suite does not come cheap during Carnival (+/- € 750), but sleeping under frescoes by Gregorio Lazzarini, the teacher of Giambattista Tiepolo, is magical. Carlo Ruzzini, the 113th Doge of Venice, commissioned them. Staff at Ruzzini Palace are friendly and professional. A delicious breakfast is provided for free. In the weekend you have to book (and search for) 2 nights. Beautiful historic property, sympathetically modernised. The staff were fantastic, the place was spotless. |
The Gritti PalaceThe famous Gritti Palace on the Grand Canal is the absolute top hotel of Venice. The views on the Grand Canal and the Santa Maria delle Salute are wonderful. The rooms are decorated with Murano glass and antiques. Breakfast is served in a beautiful room with crystal chandeliers.
The Club del Doge serves excellent food, many ingrediënts come straight from the Rialto Market. It is the place to be seen for the Venetian upper class and international high society. The hotel is located 5 minutes from La Fenice, the opera theatre and from San Marco square. It is a 15 minutes walk to the Palazzo Ca' Zen ai Frari. But if you stay in The Gritti Palace, you should treat yourself to a romantic trip with a gondola. This hotel is gorgeous!! Everything was lovely. If you wanna splurge on your trip to Venice, I definitely recommend this hotel. |
